Jake adventures

Happy holidays everybody! 🙂

Jake is off to…

AUSTRIA 🇦🇹

whop whop 🥳

Jake arrived safely in Vienna and could hardly sleep with all the excitement. He even got to see the plane’s cockpit. 😁

Jake can’t wait to try some Austrian cooking! 😋

Oohhhh. I could get used to this…

Clear soup with pancake?!? Unusual but super yummy. 😋

What’s for pud, you ask.

Chocolate cake with cream. 🤩

I wonder what Jake will get up to today?

Time to blow off some steam… 🚗

Jake mastered the forward flip

Couldn’t get him off the super long slide

He definitely did not want to leave…

Jake did pretty well at football ⚽️ too!

Still loyal to his local team! ❤️

Fantastic Friday!

Welcome back to Fantastic Friday where we showcase the amazing work and play done in the nursery each week. This week in nursery, we have been very busy! We have been discussing road safety; how we keep safe when crossing the road, who can help us keep safe and how to travel with safety in mind. The children have been making cars, road signs, doing road safety puzzles and making their own streets with art resources.

In the art area, we have be drawing and making houses/our homes which led to discussing our families and how each family is different. Some of us chose to make necklaces and pamper each other with pretend face masks, make-up and face painting..

In the construction area, we have been building houses using both the large and smaller bricks. We worked very hard and spent a lot of time on their buildings (lots of sharing resources and idea sharing too). We have been using books/stories and our white board to look at where people live (flats/houses/caravans/huts etc).

Upstairs in the two’s room they have started to look at winter and they have been continuing with light and dark. They have been talking about the changes in the weather and what clothes they need to wear to keep warm. They have also been talking about artic animals and played with polar bears in the white water.
In the art area they have been making icy pictures with foil and some lovely penguins.

We hope you have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you on Monday! Please post pictures of all the fun you have at home on the Learning Journals.
