Primary 7 Blog

Dear Primary 7

Dear Primary 7,

I hope that you had a restful and relaxing Easter Holiday. Did any of you try the activities in the holiday grid? I hope that if you did, you found them fun and engaging. I can see from the Active Learn and Education City that many of you a taking part in the online activities and I hope that you have been able to access the grids on the blog as well.

We had a lovely holiday, between Easter and a birthday, there was a lot of baking, books were read in the garden and my house has now been cleaned from top to bottom!  I shall attach pictures and recipes in case you want to try them at home. I am still working on the cross stitch but may finish that later this week.

As always, if you have any questions or anything to share, please do email it to: admin@royalmile.edin.sch.uk

I hope that you and your families are keeping well. Thinking of you all and looking forward to hearing from you.

Take care!

Miss Kerr

Chocolate cake: https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/wordofmouth/2012/nov/21/how-to-cook-the-perfect-chocolate-cake

There is a lot of chat in this article but if you scroll down you can get to the recipe. Make sure you add just the amount of milk it says-I added too much so my icing was very runny!

Banoffee Pie: https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/banoffeepie_89031

For the banoffee-I used hobnobs instead of digestive biscuits.Ginger nuts also work really well if you want to add in a different flavour. The caramel can be bought as this caramel

which you simply open and spoon over the bananas. Cadbury flake bars are really easy to crumble on top of the whipping cream by hand. (Whip the cream until the peaks hold when you pull out the whisk). Banoffee is very sweet and you could put it in little washed out yogurt pots to make sure you don’t have too much!
