Sharing Our Success

Thank you to Mairi and Rayan who have shared what they have been doing at home. Rayan has been keeping himself busy with lots of different activities. In the picture he is creating a poster about VE day last week. Mairi has also been staying busy. The example I have chosen to share is of her fact file. I love the use of sub-headings to organise the information she has found.

Also thank you to those of you who have sent in your letters, it has been great to hear from you. Thank you as well to those of you who have sent in that they have read the ICT contract and are now online on Microsoft Teams.

All the best!

International Nurses Day 2020

Louisa Jordan was a Scottish Nurse who was born in Glasgow. She helped to look after soldiers during World War 1.  Conditions would have been very harsh and not like modern day hospitals. There is a new temporary hospital in Scotland and the NHS have chosen to name it after Louisa Jordan in tribute to her courageous service in Serbia.

If you would like to complete a task to mark international nurses day, have a think to yourself or a discussion with your family about all the different skills and personality traits you might need to be a nurse. It must be a tricky job. Can you make a mind map of all the different things that you can think of? You could share it with a nurse to show how admirable they are.

Access to Microsoft Teams

Hi Primary 6 Families,

I hope you are all well. It has been good talking to some of you and I am looking forward to speaking to all of you in the coming weeks. It has also been good to see some of what you have been doing and learning at home.

Myself and Mrs Jessop have decided to launch a Primary 6 class team on Microsoft Teams. This will allow you to contact me directly with any questions or issues that you have. You will also be able to share work that you have completed and make it simpler for me to give you feedback and help with your learning.

I will be online during normal school hours so will be able to feedback much quicker (so long as I am not required to work in a hub school that day).

Please read through the attached ICT contract. Once you have read this please contact the admin account at admin@royalmile.edin.sch.uk to confirm that you have read it and we will send out the username and password.

Thank you!

Mr McPheely
