Health Week Learning Grid

Good morning Royal Mile,

This week is Health Week!  Being healthy is much more than being fit, strong and eating your fruits and vegetables.  It is important that we look after our own Emotional and Mental Health.  This is especially important in our current circumstances.

Attached to this post is a special Health Week Learning Grid for you to enjoy.  The grid is the same for each class so brothers and sisters can team up and do the activities together.

As ever, if there are any issues please contact the school via e-mail or the Twitter page.

Have fun and, if you can, share some of your learning with us!

Friday’s Activities

Today and over this weekend we’d love it if you can look at something called ‘positional language’. This is the words we use when we describe where something is, words like:

on  ~  under  ~  above  ~  in front of  ~  behind  ~  next to

Try looking at the pictures in today’s download – Friday The-very-busy-spider – but also do some for yourself, maybe those of you doing our bear hunt work too can use your bear for this task – can your bear be on the sofa, under the table, above your head, in front of your TV, behind your back, next to your lunch?

Have a lovely weekend, We will be back on Monday for our whole school HEALTH WEEK which we look forward to sharing with you too!

BEAR-HUNT-770x513

We have had a fantastic response to our appeal to get pictures of our teddy bears all set for the Edinburgh Bear Hunt! Thank you! If you haven’t had a chance to read the story yet please do so soon, you can find it here.

A special thank you to the Royal Mile PS children who are working from the keyworker HUB at James Gillespie’s High School – They displayed bears in the school windows and sent us this picture! 🙂

This was already mentioned as part of yesterday’s WOW WEDNESDAY post but again another special well done to Alexander for sharing his Bear Hunt Yoga pictures with us, they are brilliant! Remember if you haven’t had a chance to try the yoga video yet you can find it here.

More Bear Hunt tasks will be launched next week so keep an eye on the special city wide website – HERE IS A LINK – and on the nursery blog page. Also please keep sharing with us your pictures and comments, we love watching you have so much fun! If you are using twitter don’t forget to tag us @RMPSnursery and use the hashtag #BearHuntEdin to share your work across the city!

Thank you again,

Mrs Peoples and the Early Years Team
