P3/4 Home Learning and News

Last week was very busy but short, due to returning on Tuesday we will be only issuing reading for pleasure books from the class library as we are still using our current reading books in class.

It is Maths Week in the school and around Scotland and you may wish to take part in the challenges that are on Sumdog or create your own Maths challenges and tell us about them. You can also find loads of information on the Scottish Maths website https://mathsweek.scot/ .

Thank you for returning the completed Home Learning. This week the Home Learning bags will be sent out on Monday to be returned on Friday. The Rainbow Progression Maths sheets, Other Curriculum Activity Grid and a book to read for pleasure will be in the bags. A new Spelling challenge sheet will be sent out and a challenge will be placed on Sumdog.

Preparing for school

Thank you for looking at our website! We are glad to have you here.

Some pupils may find the document below helpful. It shows photos of the school and the Primary 1 staff.

We return to school on Wednesday 13th August.

You may find using the visual calendar below helpful, to support the return to school this coming week.

Naming personal items

Your child is responsible for their own personal items.

We will always try our best to return items at the end of the day however when 28 children have red jumpers the easiest and fastest way to get your personal items back is if they are named.

Sticky labels, sewn on labels or the long standing permanent marker or biro pen – they all help!

We implore you to spend 5 minutes and write their name on those labels.
