READ WRITE COUNT Primary 3

… and thank you for coming to see us!

P2 and P3 – FREE READ, WRITE, COUNT BAGS | Greenmill Primary School and Early Childhood Centre

Welcome to another year of Read, Write, Count and their excellent activities and resources.

We especially enjoyed this year’s book – ‘Look up!’ by N.Bryon

Look Up!: Amazon.co.uk: Bryon, Nathan, Adeola, Dapo: Books

and researched Rocket’s role model Mae Jemison!

Thinking about a journey to space there are certain things we rather not go without… 🙂

Rocket knows exactly what she would like her future to look like! But what about Primary 3? 🙂

Look at our super space art work too:

We loved the non-fiction ‘Wow!’

and learnt many animal facts too.

Please check out this website https://www.scottishbooktrust.com/reading-and-stories/read-write-count

and see WHAT’S IN THE BAG!

You might find some of these suggestion fun and helpful at home too:

Which book did you prefer and why? Can you give it a star rating (up to 5*) and explain your reasons. Can you illustrate your favourite part?

How exciting! Have fun with your new resources including the story cards, note pad and pen as well as a measuring tape and let us know what you got up to!

Tuck Shop

From MONDAY 9th NOVEMBER 2020 we will be selling tuck at the school office between 9 – 9.15am daily.

Every item will cost 50p and exact change would be great. We have risk assessed and will choose only individually wrapped items or fruit with an easy peel skin. Where possible we will buy our stock from Edinburgh Food Initiative which is a community social enterprise.

These labels show the ingredients and warnings so please ensure that you advise your child as well. We will be aware of dietary requirements as well.

The pupil council will be asking for suggestions for stock going forward as well.
