On the 25-29th of May it is Royal Mile Health Week. We have some ideas of fun activities to do but need your help. Have you any ideas about things we could do or try during Health week?

Have you done any healthy activities? Watched any good fitness or mindful videos? Got any healthy recipes or snack ideas? Let us know.

Health Reps – would especially love to hear from you.

Send any ideas to me either by commenting on blog or sending an email to admin@royalmile.edin.sch.uk

Tuesday’s Challenges

Today’s challenges are now here, remember if you don’t have paint you can always draw or try an alternative. For our youngest children you don’t need to look at more and less but look at size, which caterpillar is the longest and shortest or biggest and smallest?

Tuesday Hungry-Caterpillar

We have also added these number and painting tasks which may interest you.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Yes you guessed it – this week is maths week and we have chosen activities linked to THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR! Here is a link to the story being read by the author Eric Carle and here is a link to an animated version of the story – watch them both this week so you can practice different parts of the story, there is lots of work on counting, shapes and days of the week to be found in this story and we hope you all enjoy it!

The tasks today look at shapes and circles in particular. Have a look at the circles that you can find in the book, in your home and take a look at the artwork of Russian artist Wassily Kandinski and try and make some circle pictures of your own!
