It’s a busy one! This week is Equalities Week. Primary 1 will be focussing on visible and invisible disabilities, while continuing our learning about diversity, respect and celebrating our unique selves. Tuesday is Safer Internet Day We will also be enjoying some fun valentines day crafts, discussing love and families!
This week Primary 4 have worked so hard to practice counting in multiples of 25 and sequencing numbers in many different intervals both forwards and backwards. We particularly enjoyed this game on the topmarks website – Caterpillar Ordering
Welcome to another Week in Review for Primary 2! Languages Week work has kept us busy and some of this you’ll see more of in the coming weeks. Here’s a Spanish version of Baby Shark to get us started!
In our Time work we have enjoyed playing some of the games on Education City as we focus on telling the time to half past on an analogue clock using words. We have made our own paper plate clocks as we prepare to look at quarter past next and we also spend some thought on estimating time and how many times we can do an action like hopping in one minute. We had some really good guesses for our estimating!
In literacy we worked on the ‘ou‘ and ‘oy‘ sounds this week. Here and here are some games for ‘ou‘ and ‘oy‘ to practise if you wish. We read The Four Singers as a new fairy tale this week and acted out part of the story using our voices, bodies and facial expressions! Feel free to read over this on Active Learn.
In a very busy Languages Week we looked at the story and traditions around the Lunar New Year and how it is the year of the tiger this time! We looked at different stories in other languages such as the The VeryHungry Caterpillar in Spanish and we got to hear a story in Scots at the Children’s Library this week. We really enjoyed looking at a range of their bilingual books too.
As we come to the end of this week’s review, a big congratulations for…

Lastly, Primary 2 enjoyed hearing this story and we remembered some of the other stories in this series:
