Recently, Primary 4 got the opportunity to attend a “Roman Explorer” workshop at the Museum of Scotland. They had a tour around the Early People Gallery, exploring Roman objects and investigating what they revealed about life in a Roman home.

Scots Week
ESB1 enjoyed celebrating Scots Week. We learned some Scots words, learned about Robert Burns and enjoyed sensory play with oats and scotch broth mix. We created some wonderful art: tartan weaving, digital tartan making, highland coos in the style of Steven Brown and some fantastic Scots words pop art. Our parents were invited in to share our fantastic work. We made shortbread and cranachan to serve for them. Well done ESB1!

Lit In Colour winners
Royal Mile Primary School were the winners of a competition run by Lit In Colour. Lit In Colour was created in 2020 by Penguin Books, and their aim was to find ways to support schools to introduce more books by people of colour into the classroom, for all ages.
We received a lovely collection of books for each class, written by authors of colour and many featuring diverse characters.
Here are some photos of our children enjoying them.
