Multiplication and Division update

The last 5 weeks we have been focusing on

Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Decimals, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion:

The Cuisenaire rods have been very helpful in making equal groups and demonstrating multiplication:

Lots of times tables practice with board games and online games have helped fluency!

The grid method helped with 2digit x 1 digit

as well as 2digit x 2 digit multipluication

What an exciting maths and numeracy week we had! 🙂

Launching maths week with a whole school assembly and an Ipad challenge all about PLACE VALUE

Royal Mile learners buddying up and completing a playground challenge all about

TELLING THE TIME:

Outing to the MONEY MUSEUM:

and lots of positive feedback about activities pupils enjoyed…

such as QR code online games and singing number songs in different languages 🙂
