I hope that you are all well and taking good care of yourselves! I have been at the Hub school and it has made me realise how much I am missing seeing you all in person. I know that all the other staff at Royal Mile are feeling the same way. So before we all take our Easter Holidays I hope you will take a few moments to post a comment on your class blog or send us a photo on the admin@royalmile.edin.sch.uk email.
Blogs will be full of holiday activities and ideas so why not try something new? There is a link here to some free resources and things to do. https://royalmileprimary.com/2020/03/30/second-level-home-learning-for-school-closure-week-2/
You can take free tours of lots of museums and art galleries all around the world, follow ‘how to’ videos on Youtube to learn a new skill or try a hobby, watch a live cam at a zoo (we have been enjoying pandas in China, elephants in San Diego and penguins in Edinburgh).
I am going to visit this exhibition at the British library https://artsandculture.google.com/project/harry-potter-a-history-of-magic.
“Because that’s what Herminone does,’ said Ron, shrugging. ‘When in doubt, go to the library.”
I am hoping to learn a few spells and potions, I may even perfect the powder that lets you travel via the chimney!
Take care and stay safe!
