British Science Week

Tomorrow is International Women’s Day
If you were asked to draw a scientist, would you draw the image below?

Can you think of any female scientists?

Reading books about women in science, or story books with female characters can encourage more women into science!

Ada Twist, Scientist is now available as a TV show on Netflix!

The Esplanade Eagles have been hard at work thinking of different activities for the school. Your teachers may do some activities at school, or set some for homework.

Scots Assembly

Primary 4 have been working hard learning lots of new things during Scots month! We have enjoyed reading Scots poems, researching famous Scottish inventors and learning Scots vocabulary for clothes and body parts. We have created poems using this vocabulary and various poetic techniques, such as alliteration, rhyme, onomatopoeia and repetition.

We hope you enjoy our recital of ‘The Sair Finger’ by Walter Wingate!
