Our final experiment this week looks at the effect of water, salt and sugar on gummy bear sweets.
We added the bears to three different solutions (keeping a control dish too) and we then left them to see what happens. We learnt the names of some new science apparatus too – pipette and Petri dish.

The conditions they will spend the next week or so in are:
To start off science week we have been tasked with finding out if your hands grow. Each class has found the median and average hand length – Primary 4 had a median length of 15cm and an average length of 153mm.
Primary 4 have started to make their contributions to one of the pieces for the 2022 Art Gallery. The theme this year is ‘Our Diverse Community’ and we are going to make these into some representations of the special buildings in our city – keep your eyes peeled for more very soon!!
