Canongate have lots of exciting online clubs for you to take part in, they include arts and crafts, music and …..Homework Club (which means you can get a wee bit extra help with anything from your daily grid and with your JASS project)
A great chance to have fun, see your friends and stay safe!
Hello, I hope that you have all been keeping warm and enjoying the activities and challenges your teachers have been posting on the class blogs.
Just a reminder that we have suggested an order for the day so that families can work on the same subjects at the same times. Then the afternoons are whole school topics so everyone can work together, or work at their own pace and level on similar things. However remember that you can change things around to suit your own families commitments and arrangements. It is also important to remember that children don’t need a device for everything on their daily timetable!
I have borrowed this lovely document from Miss Copeland to help explain the timetable symbols we are using.
Hello and welcome to a very rainy Thursday in Edinburgh. I made my assembly last night – sitting in my house watching the snow fall! It was still there this morning when I left for school. https://youtu.be/6-iLHHAJEsg
P.S any funny noises in the background are my 4 cats trying to get in on the action! Hope you enjoy it!
Hello, Happy New Year and welcome back to learning! We find ourselves again in unprecedented circumstances and working in new ways! Thank you so much for your understanding as Team Royal Mile gets to grips with learning in different places and in different ways!
We have tried very hard to take on all the comments made during the last school closures. We hope that you are finding it ok. It may yet change and evolve as we work together to get better at it.
We really want everyone to keep in touch so we have the www.royalmileprimary.com page with class blogs and comments enabled, older pupils are using TEAMS as well and our youngest pupils are using Learning Journals. This time we are in our own building so during office hours (Mon- Thurs 8am – 4pm and Fri 8am- 1pm) you can reach us by phone 0131 556 3347 and email admin@royalmile.edin.sch.uk. Please be aware that teaching staff may be supporting a group in school and may not answer messages until the following day.
We expect to hear and see everyone getting involve din learning. Next week we will be starting group chats and teachers will be checking in with every child in the class. If we don’t see you we will follow up and then may escalate this to other services. So -keep in touch!
I am really looking forward to FANTASTIC FRIDAYS! Let’s celebrate and show off just how brilliant Royal Milers are. Take care and look after yourselves and each other!
