During the school closures we will be updating the class blogs regularly to guide learning at home. If you have any questions please do email: Admin@royalmile.edin.sch.uk
You should, hopefully, receive a home learning pack to assist in learning from home but we will be adding additional tasks here over the next few weeks.
There will be a School Closure Learning Grid for each stage (Early for P1, First for P2-4, Second for P5-7) published weekly on the blogs for you to work through over the course of a week, or more.
Here are some Active classroom activities that you may find useful (and are referenced in the School Closure Home Learning Grids).
You should have online log-ins and passwords for Active Learn and Education City. These are guides to help you log in: Active Learn – How to access and Education city – How to access if you didn’t receive. Please do email if you do not have the password information for your child.
It is very sad that nursery is going to be closed over coming weeks and some parents have been asking for ideas of activities that can be completed at home. Here are some from me, simply click the underlined links to access the websites, they all should work from a laptop, tablet or mobile phone.
If you have any questions you can reply here or email the school admin account on admin@royalmile.edin.sch.uk
Keep safe and well and I hope to see you all soon,
Mrs Peoples
P5 will be visiting Central Library on Wednesday 4th March, 2:00pm-2:45pm. We would love it if you were able to join us. Feel free to meet us there or meet us at the West door of school at 1:40pm. Some of us will be collecting our new library cards and we look forward to sharing some stories while we are there.
We have also visited the Book Box this week. We have been enjoying our new borrowed books during E.R.I.C. time. We have exciting plans to pass on the book to someone new on World Book Day on Thursday.
This week we have a reading based homework challenge. Return on Friday for the chance to win a prize. Good Luck!

We went to the National Museum of Scotland and visited Science and Technology department. We loved all interactive exhibits but our favourite one was the “energy wheel” when we all had to work as a team to make it work. We also liked the “plasma globe” and the “pipe phone”. We had brilliant time and we definitely will visit again!
