Drama fun

hy Here’s a fun game for you &

it will put your ani knowledge to the test, too!

Remember the game HEADBANDS we have in the classroom – it was so popular at reward time!

We will try and practise our science skills with it:

You will need at least 2 players!

Secretly, draw a picture or write the name of an animal on a post-it note and stick it on your opponent’s forehead. Make sure they don’t see it and start asking questions:

Your opponent is only allowed to answer with ‘Yes!’ or ‘No!’

Keep asking until the answer is ‘No!’

Then it is your opponent’s turn.

Consider what kind of animal it is?

AM I A MAMMAL? DO I HAVE MORE THAN 2 LEGS?

Think about where you live?

AM I A LAND ANIMAL? DO I LIVE IN THE UK?

Establish your size, colour, diet etc.

Here’s a short example:

Now, for the activity on Task 1 on Tuesday, please don’t bring your goodbye message to school yet. We will schedule a time to do that later. I have also included the parent information leaflet if your parents would like to take a look. This has also been translated into Turkish and Spanish and you can find all versions below.

Primary 6 Home Learning Grid W.C. 15/6/20

Hi Primary 6 Families,

I hope you are all doing well and staying safe and healthy. It has been great to hear from so many of you either through email, phone calls and Microsoft Teams. It has been great to stay in touch.

I have attached the grid and all of the resources needed for this week. It would be great to get as many of the HWB tasks as possible. They will help with the transition into target setting and will be going into profile jotters when possible. I have attached both a PDF and Word version so they can be printed and handwritten or can be typed straight in using Microsoft Word. If you are not able to do either you can use the sheet as a template and write it straight onto paper.

All the best!

Mr McPheely
