Welcome back Primary 7!

Welcome back Primary 7! We are looking forward to seeing you this week.

For those of you who are coming in on Wednesday and Thursday I thought I would give you an idea of what we will be doing.

In the morning before break we will be learning some of our new routines in school, looking at how we will be staying safe and looking after each other and getting used to our new classroom. When you come back to school, you will notice that some things are a little bit different. This is to help everybody to be safe.

After this, we will have a chat and check in about how we are feeling now we are back at school. This year, we have a new break time and we shall have snack and time for a chapter of the new class novel before you go out to play.

After break, we shall work together to make up a new story and use our imaginations! Before lunch, we hopefully have time to play last person standing and wake up our mental maths!

In the afternoon, after lunch, we will practise our handwriting with some funny limericks. Then we will have an assembly, a virtual one! After that, we shall work together to create a beautiful new class display.

If you or parents and carers have any concerns or questions please contact the school. If you haven’t read through the Return to School letter please do so before coming in. There is a lot of helpful information in it that might answer some of your questions.

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Can I remind all parents that we are to meet between 9-9.15 by the tree in the playground for drop off. If you are late, please head straight to the school office.

Welcome back P4

Hello everyone!

Ms. McEwan and I are busy preparing the classroom for you to come back to school this week. I don’t have any pictures to share with you at the moment but rest assured that we are doing everything we can reasonably do to keep everyone safe while ensuring the learning takes place.

For the boys and girls who are coming in on Wednesday and Thursday I thought I would give you an idea of what we will be doing.

In the morning before break we will be doing some Literacy. I will be teaching you a fun activity that last years P4 class really enjoyed. After break we will be doing Maths and Numeracy and practising some key number work.

In the afternoon, after lunch, we have an assembly sandwiched between a fun Art activity.

If parents and carers have any concerns or questions please contact the school. If you haven’t read through the Return to School letter please do so before coming in. There is a lot of helpful information in it that might answer some of your questions.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Welcome back to Language and Communication Class!

Dear parents, carers and children from Language and Communication Class,

Welcome back! We hope you have enjoyed your summer holidays, even if you could not do all the things that you usually like to do.

We have been away from school for a long time. Now it is time to come back to Royal Mile Primary School.

You might be feeling excited… worried… happy… nervous… sad…

These feelings are all ok.

School is going to be different to how it used to be… but the adults are here to keep you all safe and happy and we will have lots of fun.

Mrs Rush, Mrs Machowiak, Ms Porteous, Mrs Casey and Mr McPherson are all really looking forward to seeing you all again!

See you soon!
