Fantastic Friday!

Welcome back to the last Fantastic Friday of the year! We have been enjoying lots of festive fun in the nursery in the run up to the Christmas holidays! We have been singing and dancing to lovely winter music and have mastered all the Christmas songs! We made some magic reindeer food to leave out for Santa and helped make some more fragrant snow dough. We have been very busy in the art area; making sparkly Christmas trees, painting lovely penguins and colourful stockings. We enjoyed a special tasty Christmas lunch on Wednesday and got some presents from our catering team! Our Christmas party on Thursday was lots of fun; we played musical statues, musical bumps, the corner game, a Christmas listening game, did lots of brilliant dancing, enjoyed a delicious party snack and even got some presents from Santa!

We hope you have a fantastic holiday, a Merry Christmas if you celebrate and a very happy new year! Please post some pictures of the fun you have at home on the Learning Journals! We look forward to seeing you all again on January 6th!

Seasons Greetings from Primary 2

As we finish up for the term we wish you all a wonderful holiday!

We have been busy with our class party, meeting up with our buddies, hearing ‘The Stick Man‘ in Spanish and creating art this week! We had a special visitor during our class party on Monday too as Santa came to visit and give out some gifts! Primary 2 had asked for some more playtime and we enjoyed extra time in the playpark on Thursday alongside chasing bubbles.

We were practising some Christmas songs too this week – Jingle Bells and We Wish You A Merry Christmas. The versions we practised are linked above and below you can hear us!

Have a lovely holiday all and we look forward to seeing you in January!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Primary 5!

Primary 5 have had a busy week!

We used our knowledge of 3D shapes to assemble different nets using red, green, silver and gold card. We used ribbon and glitter to jazz them up and create our own decorations for our class Christmas tree.

On Tuesday, we invited our parents and carers in to hear us sing ‘Mary’s Boy Child’ in the outdoor classroom. For this occasion, we baked gingerbread biscuits and cupcakes, which we decorated with the utmost care and flair to share with our guests and enjoy with a nice hot chocolate. We hope you enjoyed our singing and the goodies that hopefully made it home to you if you couldn’t make it!

On Wednesday, we went on a HUGE walk to see the P5 Winter Windows Winner on display on Willowbrae Road. P5 did extremely well and walked 4 miles in 100 minutes!
