In maths and numeracy we have started looking at patterns and sequences of numbers. We have learnt that a pattern of numbers can be a growing or repeating pattern where as sequences have to be a growing pattern.

Repeating pattern: 4, 7, 9, 4, 7, 9, 4, 7, 9, 4, 7, 9, 4, 7, 9

Growing pattern (sequence): 5, 11, 17, 23, 29, 35, 41, 48 (Rule +6)

For this week’s maths and numeracy homework write down three repeating patterns and four growing patterns (sequences).

You can make the sequences as simple or complex as you like. Could you challenge yourself to use fractions or decimal numbers?

Learning Across the Curriculum

In class we are challenging ourselves to design, budget and produce healthy snacks. Part of being successful is producing the food in a clean and hygienic way. For homework, please write down five key things to remember to do to keep food safe and hygienic.

Learning Across the Curriculum

Coming up in class we will be looking at social issues facing people within our school community. The children chose to focus on the cost of living crisis and homelessness as issues they would like to learn more about. For home learning research a group, charity or organisation who offers help or support for people either experiencing homelessness or struggling with the cost of living.

You can share this as either a poster, speech or presentation.
