Last week was a short week but we were able to have a visit from a retired farmer from the Royal Highland Educational Trust volunteer service. It was wonderful to listen to the class ask really interesting and well thought out questions to find out about life as a farmer and what was produced on the farm. At the same time they compared farming to experiences that they had come across in their own lives.
We will be starting singing with our National Youth Choir of Scotland input on Monday. We will be changing our Wednesday PE slot to Monday after lunch as P4 will be starting a block of swimming week beginning 22 May and P3 will be continuing with PE. An email will be sent to P4 parents to make you aware of what equipment is needed for attending swimming at Abbeyhill Primary.
Home Learning this week will be sent home on Monday in the Home Learning bag and should be returned on Friday. In the bag to be undertaken at home will be the Weekly Spelling Words, Maths Challenge sheet, non fiction reading book, Mental Maths Rainbow Challenge sheet and Other Curriculum Challenge sheet – Farm to Fork.
