Termly Learning Overview
Some general reminders for this term to go alongside our Learning Overview:
Please make sure that on all days your child has appropriate footwear for school and the weather. Indoor shoes may need to be changed over the term and outdoor shoes should be ready for all our wonderful Scottish weather! Likewise, children should bring weather appropriate coats each day.
P.E. is on Monday and Wednesday. Please have P.E. kit in for these days.
Homework is returned on Thursdays.
On Friday we go to the school library and the Book Swap is available. If your child has a book at home that they do not want any more, they may bring this in to swap for a new book at the Book Swap. The school’s library books are used daily in school. Joining your local library is also a great way to access a whole range of books, online resources and access IT equipment.
On Friday we also have a Newstime/Show and Tell. If your child wishes to share something with the class this is the only day this happens. This is the ONLY day toys or objects from home should come into school, and make sure you are happy with what your child is bringing to school to share.

Primary 5 Outdoor Learning
Primary 5 have had lots of fun taking their learning outdoors.
Last Monday the children had the exciting opportunity to see what life was like thousands of years ago in Holyrood Park. They all bacame trainee druids and learnt how to live off the land. They met a hunter, a farmer and even a roman! The children also had the opportunity to create their own celtic artifacts!
