Our Bear Hunt Begins…

BEAR-HUNT-770x513

We have had a fantastic response to our appeal to get pictures of our teddy bears all set for the Edinburgh Bear Hunt! Thank you! If you haven’t had a chance to read the story yet please do so soon, you can find it here.

A special thank you to the Royal Mile PS children who are working from the keyworker HUB at James Gillespie’s High School – They displayed bears in the school windows and sent us this picture! 🙂

This was already mentioned as part of yesterday’s WOW WEDNESDAY post but again another special well done to Alexander for sharing his Bear Hunt Yoga pictures with us, they are brilliant! Remember if you haven’t had a chance to try the yoga video yet you can find it here.

More Bear Hunt tasks will be launched next week so keep an eye on the special city wide website – HERE IS A LINK – and on the nursery blog page. Also please keep sharing with us your pictures and comments, we love watching you have so much fun! If you are using twitter don’t forget to tag us @RMPSnursery and use the hashtag #BearHuntEdin to share your work across the city!

Thank you again,

Mrs Peoples and the Early Years Team

We Are Going On A Bear Hunt!

Over the next 6 weeks we will be going on a Bear Hunt together. Every child in Edinburgh who is coming to nursery or P1 after the summer will be doing the same – join us!Logo

Meet Edinburgh Bear who will be joining us on our adventures over the coming weeks… This week he has created a series of tasks for us that can be found here.

This week share the story of ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen. If you have the book, read it together, or watch/listen online at https://bit.ly/EdiBearHunt.

Why not go on a yoga bear hunt with Cosmic Kids? https://bit.ly/EdiYogaBear. Tweet us a picture of your best bear hunt yoga pose @RMPSnursery and #BearHuntEdin!

Finally find a bear in your house to take part in our bear hunt. Put the bear in your window so others can see. When you go out for a walk go on your very own bear hunt to spot the bears in the windows! How many can you see? The Royal Mile Staff have started us off with their very own bear hunt too!

As always we hope that you have fun with these activities, please share with us pictures – you can upload them to your learning journal, email us at admin@royalmile.edin.sch.uk or tweet us @RMPSnursery and #BearHuntEdin. We look forward to seeing what you have been up to!
