Hello everyone,

As of today, we have, as a class, taught all of our initial (Block 1) sounds.  These will all be added to the sound rings.  Practice will still be needed to ensure the sounds are learned and remembered fully.

In order to check that every child has each sound I am keeping the homework folders in class for day or two.

Well done to all the boys and girls on their learning of their Block 1 sounds.

Hello everyone,

We have been exploring and investigating 2d shape in class.  We have been learning their names and the different properties of the shapes, i.e. a square has 4 sides of the same length and 4 corners.

We created Shape Monsters to demonstrate our learning.  We hope you like them. (And aren’t too scared!)

Termly Overview – Term 1

Hello everyone,

You will have noticed that everyone has been given a homework folder with a number on it.  This folder is for homework and other letters.  If you also have something to return to school it would be a good place to put it as they are checked or added to daily.

In the folder today were 2 new letters.  1 was regarding parental consultations and the other was about the sound rings.  If you have lost the information about the sound rings it is attached here.
