We have been learning about the Scottish Parliament, how a democracy works and our rights and responsibilities as citizens. As part of our learning we gave evidence to the committee discussing a change to the age of criminal responsibility. These were the results of our discussion:
Everyone was very impressed by the mature and thoughtful way that the P7s took part in the debate and gave reasons to support their opinions.
We have been studying the Scottish parliament, not only trying to understand how democracy works and our rights and responsibilities as citizens, but as a building in neighbourhood. As part of this we looked at the artists and ideas who inspired the shapes and motifs of the design. One of these artists was Antoni Gaudi, and so in our art sessions with Mrs Brown we have been taking a closer look at his work, and creating our own designs inspired by him, just like the architect of the parliament building.
