What a Busy Month We’ve Had!

This month has been full of exciting learning, creativity and discovery in our classroom!

In Literacy, we have been working hard to improve our punctuation skills. We have practised using capital letters, full stops, question marks, exclamation marks, commas and speech marks to make our writing clear and exciting. We have become punctuation detectives, spotting mistakes and improving our own work. It has been fantastic to see our confidence growing as writers!

In Numeracy, we have been learning all about time. We can now read both analogue and digital clocks, tell the time using 12-hour and 24-hour formats, and solve problems involving durations of time. We have also explored how different units of time are connected by converting between seconds, minutes, hours and days. Some of our time challenges really made us think!

Our Science topic has focused on the Water Cycle. We learned how water travels around our planet through evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection. Through experiments, discussions and diagrams, we discovered how this amazing cycle helps provide water for living things all around the world.

One of the highlights of the month has been our learning about the Titanic. We explored the story of the famous ship, learned about life on board, and used our imaginations to write exciting Titanic-themed stories. We especially enjoyed building our own Titanic models and investigating buoyancy. Through testing different materials and designs, we learned why some objects float while others sink. It was great fun to make predictions and see our ideas come to life!

We are very proud of all the effort, enthusiasm and determination shown by everyone this month. We have learned new skills, asked thoughtful questions and supported one another throughout our learning journey.

We can’t wait to see what exciting adventures next month will bring!

Well done, everyone! ⭐
