P4 swimming!!

Just a quick reminder about Primary 4 starting swimming on Monday 15th May for 6 weeks.

Swimming lessons will take place in Abbeyhill Primary School.

Several weeks ago your child should have brought a letter home with the following information.

Your child will need:

-Suitable shoes and jackets for walking to Abbeyhill Primary.

-Swimming Costume/Trunks (leotards and leggings for modesty are acceptable)

-Towel

-Swimming cap (this is essential, these can be purchased online or from sports shops- no cap – no swimming)

-A bag to carry their things in.

This is a curricular activity and if your child is unable to take part due to ill health you should inform the school in person or by letter, they will remain in school and complete appropriate work.

Please, if you have any questions, do not hesitate contacting through the school’s admin email or catch me at door for a quick chat!!

Thank you for your support!

Do you know more than a Primary4?

Primary 4 delivered a showcase assembly on Friday 21st April and it was great fun! We organised a whole school quiz with 15 questions based on what P4 had learnt last term! We involved every class using their iPads to take part on an online quiz called Kahoot, which Primary 4 are extremely good at! The aim was to try beat P4 on the quiz…but no-one knew more than a Primary4!!

Here are some photos of the Assembly!

I would also like to remind all the Primary 4 families about the trip on Wednesday 10th May! Primary 4 will spend the day out at Holyrood exploring Mary Queen of Scots and her life outdoors! The trip will start around 10am and will be finishing after 2pm so please, make sure your child brings a packed lunch for that day. A message to all the families will be sent as well as a reminder.

Thank you all for your help!

Have a lovely week!
