Welcome back Primary 5

I hope everyone had a restful Easter Break and ready to face the last term of Primary 5!

I just wanted to send a quick reminder of Home Learning in Primary 5.

There are Spelling and Maths/Numeracy tasks that learners can access online through https://www.sumdog.com/ throughout the entire term to practice the skills learned in School.

There are other online apps/games that learners could use to practice Numeracy/Maths and Literacy skills such as Defenders of Mathematica https://www.bbc.co.uk/games/embed/guardians-mathematica?exitGameUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fbbc.com%2Fbitesize%2Farticles%2Fzn2y7nb and Crystal explorers https://www.bbc.co.uk/games/embed/crystal-explorers?exitGameUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fbbc.co.uk%2Fbitesize%2Farticles%2Fzbm8scw

Additionally, every Monday, Primary 5 use the School’s Library to borrow a book of their choice which promotes reading for pleasure. We encourage families to use these books to read together at home, which has a very positive impact on the reading fluency and understanding skills of the learners.

I hope you find this helpful!

Have a lovely long weekend!!

Kindest regards,

Mr Dominguez

Happy Monday Primary 5

Just a quick message to share some photos from last Friday. Primary 5 visited the Playhouse and took part in a dancing and singing workshop! They were all fantastic!

I also would like to take the chance to remind families that Home Learning is available on Sumdog, a very engaging and interactive online platform. Every week there is a target for Maths and Numeracy and also Spelling. It can also be accessed from any device with connection to internet, from a mobile phone, to a tablet, laptop or PC.

Please get in touch if this doesn’t suit so we can work a way around it for everyone to have access to it.

Have a nice week everyone!

Kindest regards.

Mr Dominguez.

Happy Monday Primary 5

I hope everyone has had a lovely and restful weekend!

Just a quick email to let all the families that Maths and Spelling home learning is active on Sumdog for this week.

To get the children more familiar with it, and considering there might be some difficulties for some families to access it, we’re going to practice it at school.

Of course, if children want and can continue using it at home, the more, the merrier!

Kindest regards,

Mr Dominguez.
