In class this week we will continue to look at our topic Famous Scottish Inventors and a Scottish Writer and we will be using our Scottish banter this week to celebrate the Scottish Bards, Robert Burns’ birthday. In Maths we will continue with division and we will begin looking at money and how we use it in our everyday life. In Literacy we will be continuing our imaginative stories that we had begun last week and we have been inspired by the Lari Don’s ‘The Secret of The Kelpie’. Watch this space as we may have to publish our stories to a wider audience.

Home learning this week will be sent home on Monday in the Home Learning bags and should be returned on Friday. This week there will be a book for reading for pleasure, unless the book has not been returned with the bag, a Mental Maths Rainbow Strategies sheet – Counting forward and backwards, Spelling challenge sheet and a Famous Scottish Inventors and Scottish Writer Grid. The Famous Inventors and Writer Grid is for home learning until the February holiday and the challenges can be undertaken in any order.
