Primary 2 Week in Review

Welcome to another Week in Review for Primary 2!

This week in our literacy we have been looking at the oi and oy sounds alongside our Read, Write, Inc. work.

World Book Day was a highlight of the week with children sharing favourite books and enjoying a dress-down in pyjamas or a dress-up as a favourite character! We had a chance to draw a selfie of a favourite character too.

We had some visitors from the Scottish Poetry Library who read some poems to us which we enjoyed and we loved looking for hidden children’s book characters in the school and trying to name them.

In maths, we have started to look at fractions. We were reviewing halves and quarters of shapes. We’ve been working well to halve numbers too!

Lastly, a big well done and congratulations to our

Beauty

for being a Responsible Citizen and Successful Learner in her excellent efforts in all her work, her kindness to others and always trying to be helpful!

Please remember to have fun! We look forward to seeing you next week!
