P3 Homework 25th Jan 2022

Hello everyone! Today P3 will bring home the “Homework Bag”:

* The Reading Books should be brought to school everyday. On the following Monday, the books will stay at school so we can change them by new ones for Tuesday.
* I would like them to bring their completed homework back to school before or on the following Monday.

**Please try to remind them to bring their homework bags before Tuesday so they can get the new pack home. Thanks!

There are two pieces of homework for this week, and an online task:
Reading – new book, and activities to practice vocabulary and/or develop their comprehension skills.
Spelling – this week we will be working with the sounds “igh” and “ow”. They can exercise their spelling and handwriting by completing the activities sent home, and also by choosing and completing three (or more) activities from the Spelling Activities sheet (complete at the back of the sheet or another paper).
Numeracy – they can practice their addition and subtraction skills by playing the allocated games at EducationCity.com. Have fun!

They just need to complete the sheets sent home. If they cannot come to school during the week, and you would like them to complete these activities, please sent me an email (through school’s) and I will send you their activities.

You can find an electronic copy of the Words of the Week below.

If you have any questions, or need an electronic copy of this week’s reading homework, please do not hesitate to contact me through the comments or by writing to the school email and they will forward it to me.

Have a great week!
Ms Sola

  1. Thank you
I do think that there is way too much homework
Kids are all day in school and need some time to rest and do thinks the like
The same goes for weekend / we do not manage the amount that is asked them to complete at the moment during the week so still left for weekend ,it is overwhelming – weekend should not be about completing homework !!!!

    1. Hi Gabi, We really appreciate the time you’ve taken to share feedback, thank you. We previously had consultations between parents, staff and children and the consensus was that home learning is appreciated – It prepares pupils for high school, include parents in learning and allows children to achieve at home as well as school. If you would like to to chat further about this, pop an email to admin and we can arrange time to speak to the class teacher or myself. Thanks again, Mrs Henry
