Primary 2 – Week in Review

We had a busy week this week in having a fantastic library visit as well as looking at the theme of Anti-Bullying Week. As part of our work, we enjoyed this video on how one kind word can make a difference:

We had a lovely visit to the Central Library and Vesna, the librarian, read us a story and helped us when choosing books! Lots of us got our library cards from the library and for now, the small section of these are in school for when we go to visit again. If you want this stub section to go home please do let us know! The books we took out are due back on the 8th of December so we shall be back to visit before then. We will let you know in advance of our next trip! Primary 2 love reading and loved to be able to browse and take out some books!

In Maths this week, we enjoyed playing this game to practise our adding skills and we have started to think more about subtraction! We enjoyed measuring using trundle wheels in the playground as part of our measure work too! Likewise in literacy, we continue to work on our reading and spelling and handwriting. We reviewed the ‘sh’ and ‘th’ sounds this week, you might find the optional homework on this useful. We have been thinking about expression while reading our reading books, especially when we see an exclamation mark!

Lastly, well done and congratulations to our

Roman

for being a Responsible Citizen for trying his best to do all his work and stay on task, seeking help when stuck or upset and his super resilience in dealing with being disappointed.

Have a lovely weekend all and remember to have fun!
