Welcome to our Week in Review for the 1st to 5th of March. As ever, Primary 2 continue to work hard in class and we wanted to share some of what we have been working on this week with you all!
In Literacy, we continued with our magic e pattern looking at the āo magic eā pattern after revising the ‘oa‘ and ‘ow‘ sounds. We worked well to use ‘o_e‘ sound patterns in games and written work and we revised some more of our tricky words too.
World Book Day was on Thursday and we were able to share some of our favourite books using the visualiser. Several boys and girls are still keen to share some of their awesome books on Friday too. Here were some books from Maryam and Amelia that they were keen to share with us all. How lovely!

We also shared our book covers with each other before taking them home. Some boys and girls wrote stories to go with their book covers and they also got to share these. We have some keen authors in our class already!
In our Maths we continue to look at telling the time and are starting to ‘show’ the time – drawing the hands on an analogue clock and we made some clocks of our own to help us. We also thought about estimating time – guessing how many times we could write our names in a minute and then checking as well as guessing how long it would take us to get to the classroom from the playground.
In our Space topic work we are looking over the planets of our solar system and this was a song the class enjoyed about the planets and the Sun!
We also started to create the solar system in our art work – creating background with paints and starting to draw and colour our planets. Look forward to seeing the completed work soon!
Finally, we leave you with this song about families as we work through our RHSP programme about different types of family.
As ever, remember to have fun! We hope you all have a lovely weekend and see you next week!
