Fantastic Friday!

It’s time for Fantastic Friday again, where we showcase the excellent work and play taking place at home and in the nursery! This Monday was Burns Night so we were doing Scottish activities and our focus book was A Home for Hamish. Oskar was inspired by the Hey Diddle Diddle rhyme time and built an amazing fiddle, he also drew a great picture of the Gruffalo and made a slithering green snake! Rievah has been hard at work playing picture matching games, doing amazing writing on her water mat, playing in and experimenting with the snow and making tasty smoothies and other food! Ava has done a great job doing all the activities on our Home Learning grid for this week; she made and played a brilliant ring toss game, went on a special Scottish scavenger hunt, drew beautiful pictures of the animals in the story and built an excellent den! Yasmine has been drawing lovely colourful pictures, playing fun games and enjoying delicious chocolate treats! Mason did an amazing job making tasty shortbread! Aisha has been having lots of fun exploring in the snow! Leo has been playing lots of fun games with an amazing selection of vehicles, doing fun puzzles and going on adventures in the snow! David enjoyed experimenting in a brilliant colourful slime bath! Jana has been drawing beautiful pictures! Great work everyone!

Thank you so much for posting all these amazing pictures on the Learning Journals, we are so happy to see all the great work and fun taking place at home! Please keep posting and don’t hesitate to get in contact with any questions you have about accessing the Learning Journals.

In the nursery we have been reading A Home for Hamish and enjoying fun Scottish activities. We baked a delicious tartan cake and some yummy blue shortbread men. We made Scotland flags and some tartan pictures. We played a fun sock matching game, made a phone out of cups and string and used our hoola hoops to play ring toss in the garden. We built some cosy tartan dens and have been using magnetic shapes to design a new home for Hamish.
