Primary 1/ 2 Blog

HI from P2

Thank you for coming to see us!

Exciting times in Primary 2!

HUGE

from all of us to Billy’s dad who arranged a Bonfire night safety event for us! We had the best time!

Lots of us also had an exciting time at the Halloween disco!

Primary 2 loved making KESRA, Algerian bread for our Fair!

P2 enjoyed learning about Mawlid, when Muslims celebrate Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.

We created camels after reading the ‘Sad Camel’ story which highlights Muhammad’s kindness and how he cares for all creatures.

Our favourite part was making Algerian bread Kesra (thanks to Mounir and his mum) and watching everyone enjoy eating it at our fair!

Boys and girls enjoyed our trip to the local library.

Literacy in P2:

We have been busy working on multiplication and focusing on counting in 2s:

Please find attached activities to practise at home too!

PE and ballskills:

We are most excited about sharing our backgrounds and the countries we feel connected to.

We have been learning about the 7 continents and where we are from!

We are very grateful for all your homework contributions (we already had a recipe from Algeria, tartan from Scotland, posters from Japan, Germany and special celebrations in India!)

We can’t wait to receive more! 🙂

We are very pleased to start sharing our heritage next week with SCOTLAND and AUSTRIA!

We’d love to read your feedback too, so please
