P3 News and Home Learning w/b 28th October

P3 have busy week ahead and are looking forward to seeing you on Friday 1st November at the Autumn Learning Fair in the Hall. The class will be on hand to describe their learning with samples of their art work and what they have larned about the Festival of Diwali.

This week we hope to visit the library on Tuesday as we were not able to return our Viking books last week. This week we will be looking at discussing and planning our new topic about the Climate. We will be finishing off Time in Maths and subtraction in number. Our Imaginative story unit will be starting and we will be focusing on the setting of the story using famous fairy tales to help us plan and use our imagination.

Please can I remind you to send in a PE kit for PE on Monday and Friday and it can stay in school and will be sent home at the end of term. We will be out and about in the run up to the end of term and I would be grateful if the children could be provided with a rainproof coat and if possible hat and gloves as it is now beginning to get cold and wet.

Home Learning this week will be sent out on Monday and should be returned on Friday. This week there will be a Spelling Challenge, with the chance to create a word search from the weekly spelling words and a math’s time challenge. In the Home Learning bags there will be a book to read for pleasure or your child’s completed reading book. A copy of the other curriculum challenge grid has been left in the Home Learning bags and a copy can be accessed on the P3 blog.
