Spelling
This week the spelling pattern is using the suffix ‘ily’ to create adverbs. The rule is if a word ends in a y and you want to turn it into an adverb you drop the y and then add on ‘ily’. So happy becomes happily.
Core words
easily, lazily, angrily, happily, luckily, wearily
Mild words
clumsily, noisily, speedily, prettily
Hot words
hungrily, heavily, merrily, steadily
